Curriculum Overview

The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign offers a CEPH accredited Master of Public Health program with a concentration in Health Behavior and Promotion.

The MPH Program requires completion of a minimum of 48 credit hours. All students receive education and training in the six core areas of public health: Biostatistics, Environmental Health, Epidemiology, Health Behavior Theory, Health Policy, and Public Health Practice.

Within the curriculum, all students complete 15-16 credit hours toward the Health Behavior and Promotion concentration.

In addition to Core and Concentration courses, students take 3-4 credit hours of electives/seminars, complete an off-site Applied Practice Experience (APE), and construct a final Integrative Learning Experience (ILE) project that integrates knowledge and skills acquired as an MPH student.
